While playing CONAN, I had to check that my PS3 didnt say PS2 on it. First of all let me confirm what everyone will say:THIS IS G.O.W PERIOD!, just in a diffrent setting. The graphics are sub-par!(SLIGHTLY better that PS2 graphics). The cut-scenes are poorly developed(on par with early to mid life PS2 games. Espically in the hair, looks like everyone has dredlocks!). The gameplay is ho-hum (reminds me of playing GAUNTLET in the arcades). The enemy a.i. is unbalanced to easy in medium & insainly difficult on hard(You will get attacked by a group and end up losing half ur life or more before u can get a hit in). The weapon/combo system although a good thought, gets lost will all the diffrent combos.(U will likley end up using one type of weapon/combo). Annoying load times everytime u die(reloading the same level/boss u were just on) Having Ron Pearlman as the vioce of CONAN was a BAD IDEA!
The boobs are a nice touch but not enough to keep u intrested. In the end this was a rushed game to make a quick buck and reflects badly on THQ and NILHISTIC. Hopefully future game will contune to get better and show what the PS3 can really do. Untill then save ur game rental and pass this on up.
