Good: Smooth play, decent graphics, soundtrack, story.
Bad: Controls, cutscenes.
Verdict: The controls ruin the game for me. I completed the Russian campaign before returning it. RTS developers just haven't been able to make it work on consoles, and this game, while it does make a valiant effort, is no different. I really wanted to enjoy this game. It's too much of a hassle moving around the map and keeping track of all the action going on. The "control group" idea of splitting up your units into manageable groups was a good idea, but it didn't make things any easier. Management was easy at the start of a mission, but once battles started to heat up across the map, it was impossible to segregate groups to dispatch to each area. If you're not an RTS fan, don't hope that this will convert you. The C&C cutscenes really need to evolve. The Sega CD era of live action cutscenes is so cheap by today's standards. Maybe they truly weren't meant for consoles.
