The review of this 2K7 game for the Xbox from the critics is exactly right, this game is pretty much the same game with a new cover on the box as the 2006 version. This is mostly a good thing because 2K6 for the xbox was still the best college basketball game on Xbox by far. But this loses points for my rankings because they also failed to fix one problem i consider significant from 2006. Playing the game is more fun than sitting in coach mode but if you are going to put coach mode into the game at least make it so the players logic allows the user controlled team to foul down the stretch of a close game. This is one of the most fundamental factors in a tight basketball game and once again its been left out. Otherwise thumbs up... if you liked 2K6, you will like 2K7.

This game is fun the first couple of times you play it, but then it is really the same thing over and over. Almost all the teams are the same except for the good schools like NC or Duke or Florida. And the players dont have names so it is annoying to play as them. The coach Legacy mode is almost impossible to get to the top. You are stuck coaching the University of Milwakee-Wisconson and never get to coach Florida, Duke, Kentucky, or any big basketball school. It is ok to rent, but buying it is a waste of time.
If you like a dynasty mode this is the game to have. In the game there is a legacy mode were u can be the coach and and 2 years with a bad team u have to build them up and make them better than u get offers from better colleges...
