I’m JMichaud with you latest forecast on the video game, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, a 3D platformer.
As you can tell from the overshot of the title, it’s based on the hit movie which is based on the childrens’ book of the same title.
The forecast for this game is of 17 levels where you go from point A to point B, smashing certain items along the way and battling the evil food with ingenious devices, and in certain levels, use a strange looking vehicle.
The highs of this game are using the tools or the vehicle to fight the evil food. Take that, Fried Chicken!
But this game does not have a Doppler radar, or any other radar, so if you get lost on a level, you’re on your own.
And the view of the playing area is limited because the camera is fixed, which makes traversing the levels and falling into any pits hard to do.
For those looking for the happy ending, you’re in for a long haul. You’ll have to find every collectable object in every level, something that will try some players’ patience.
And there’s nothing that separates this game from some of the other 3D platformers.
Still, the outlook looks partly good for this game. It’s worth a rental, but I think $50 is too much for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. RENT IT
