Even after the relentless march of twenty-five years, and all the gaming innovations that have occurred in that time, the original "The Legend of Zelda" is still evoked by gamers and industry insiders alike as one of the best adventure games ever. And with good reason. Not only has its influence been huge over the past quarter of a century, but it's still extremely satisfying to play. Indeed, it barely shows its age at all. Heck, in my humble opinion, it's better than a lot of the Zelda games of more recent years.
