So i rented this game and the craziest thing happened, my sytem and i thought we were playing a worse version of baldurs gate. Obviously, snowblind studios made baldurs gate so its not really stealing the idea. However i would have liked to see a baldurs gate 3 instead.
Pros -
- graphics on 1 player are good cuz you can zoom the camera all the way in.
- more characters, spells, armor, weapons
- portals
- fun co-op
- circles around your characters to tell whose player 1 and whos player 2
Cons -
- The script is lacking, side missions which arent really side missions cuz you have to do them later anyways.
- co-op the camera is zoomed out a little to much.
- the characters can only equip certain equipment that sometimes you cant find out until your a certain level, so your carring around 100lbs of stuff your hoping you can equip when your.... say level 17 and when you reach that level you find out you cant equip it. That irrataes me!
- The inventory menu really irratates me, its unorganized!
- aiming with arrows is tedious, there is no red line to show you where your aiming. Same with the spears although with spears if you hit x to throw it kinda auto-aims which sucks.
- pretty short
- 3 differnt difficulty levels that you cant play until you beat the previous level but there the same script, it would be cool if there were three different scripts to keep you interested and that.
- the script is weak, some missions are just bogus and stupid.
-repetitive play
the game is living in baldurs gates shadow! this game is better then bg2 but nowhere close to bg in fact the missions are pratically the same. The first mission in bg is wiping out the rats, the first mission in this game is wiping out the goblins. There are a couple missions that resemble bg. Instead of recall potions we got gate scrolls. This game is a ok rent, still has some things that need to be done to make the game good or even great.
