Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

Hey! First off good game. But doent feel like the name hit anywhere near the mark.

Old Castlevania fans out there this game isnt like them. This is a new set up. It not the go hunt the count and all his dead minons with the lovable whip. Or stop who evers trying to bring him back. But it is save the world.

This is the first thing you get told so i dont think it count as a spoiller. Here it is your not a real Bellmount. You pick the name Bellmount but not part of the famliy and your a man of god. Your mission well save the world for evil.

It kills me to say that the links from the old Castlevania and new are a few names and mounsters. But as far as the story well done. As i played it. I got the feeling that this isnt about the role of good vs bad. Its more like the end of the era of good & bad. And the start of era evil. This was made easy to see at the Epilog.

The Epilog allso hint to a other game. Most likey you play as the Count or the bad side which would be odd to see.

The boss's are great looking hard as ever but easy at the same. No real prob with pulzzes if you dont feel or cant get it they will give you the anser if you want. The background is Id say well done but all game this day are well done. So will say there like all the others.

My biggist thing for all game is well the time. If i can beat it in a day it bad. But it got to me how a hack and slash game can take about 20 hours. More if your try to get everything. And has repalyble.

Its a good rent good maybe a buy if you love hack & slash types.

I have to say, that I was expecting the worse when I first started playing this game. As an old school gamer from the Nintendo and Sega era, this game has a special place in my heart. And I they didn't disapoint me. At least not totally. The graphics are really good and the story line is epic. But I still only rated this game a 6 becuase of the frustation of breaks in the fight to solve multiple puzzles to move foward in levels and defeat bosses. I did play the game from begin to end and really enjoyed it, but it wasn't as mind blowing as I hoped.
