Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

I played Damnation awhile back and was dissapointed in it as a western. Call of Juarez, however was everything i wanted in the genre. The beginning of the game feels like a civil war Call of Duty. It sets up the story that felt like a good ole' classic wester movie. The gameplay is great and i like that you can choose to play as either Thomas or Ray( each brother carries his own set of weapons.) This adds some variety. HINT: pick up as much cash as you can after killing somebody. You'll need money to upgrade weapons at the gun stores before each level. I really appreciated the detail of the levels. The landscape is amazing. They vary from indian territory mountains, mexican deserts and southeast countryside and more. There are chests to find with scrolls inside you can collect but i didn't bother. They don't have anything to do with the game. The least fun part are the duels ( DRAW!) I found it cool the first couple of times but they grew old. I played this game once through in about a week on medium difficulty. I wouldn't mind playing it again switching guys( you might like to do that if you buy the game.) All in all this was a great game for first person shooters. The story has everthig to do with the gameplay and it was interesting and entertaining. If you like westerns this game will be great. Im waiting for Red Dead to come out but until then, this is best western game so far. I really liked it.
