The Call of duty series has never cease to amaze me. With it's amazing game play, it's intense battle sequences and taking it's gamers to places that most shooter war games do not (in this case to Japan and the heart of Berlin to fight with the Russians). The feel of the game is authentic especially in Japan. While walking in the jungle you have the Japanese popping out of holes in the ground and then have 5 to 8 soldiers jumping out of the tall grass no more then 5 feet in front of you. Which makes you value what our american soldiers went through. I really enjoyed this game. I do with every call of duty game but the reason I rated it an 8 is because of the games length otherwise it would of gotten a 10. I don't think it has taken me more than 2 days to solve any COD game and I would love to see the creaters just make them much longer, just to go a little more in depth with the characters and its campaigns. All in all if you love the COD series and any WW2 shooter games then World at war will keep you interested and keep you waiting for the next Call of duty. I highly recommend it to everyone that loves WW2 shooter games.
This game is mediocre in my opinion. The graphics are good, weapons are ok, shooting and controls are good, although the run function is a huge pain to keep down for extended periods of time. Either that or the soldier is really out of shape.
What really bugs me and annoys me the most is how dumb the friendly AI is. I am playing the game on hard setting and you have to keep replaying the same parts over and over again since it's basically you vs the nazis or japanese. Your guys don't do squat, they randomly shoot around without hitting anything. It also adds to the excitement when every single enemy is gunning for you. Heck, they will run past your guys and run towards you as if you have a huge target painted on your chest. If the developers would have balanced this issue out, the game would have been stellar. That's why Rainbow Six is so good. Your guys are just as capable as you are.
It's worth a rent, just play it on Normal setting or it becomes too repetitive of a game.

Well folks it is back to world war II, (sigh) another WWII game. Looking past that, this game isn't too bad. The AI (of the enemies at least) is on par with some of the greatest military tacticians. Friendly AI I could say is very close to the A-team, usually 4 people in the front firing thousands of bullets to hit nothing.
Now on to game play. The game has a very good story line, and co-op story mode, however that alone can not make up for the unbalanced AI and grenade indicators which only work when they to.
If you play on getting this game for multiplayer nothing else then I would very highly recommend it. However single player (non co-op) is lacking.
