It's a 1080p Last-gen game

The review title pretty much says it all. I'll list the obvious negatives first:

Like you've probably already read, the game is very short. The missions are incredibly short. It's sad. I guess this is what a "rushed release" looks like because it just comes off as unfinished. It's as if there were a lot of good ideas, so they just did short versions of all their ideas & got it to press. This could have been a good game.

The pros: IMO, it's a cool concept. The ideas within the story were good. I kept wanting the levels to keep going, but then they ended. There is some decent scenery in the game. Some use of updated lighting & particle effects. The higher resolution was certainly nice, although once you got close up to objects - their last-gen low resolution textures were exposed. :'(

All in all, I'm glad I rented the game & played it. However I can't imagine the next COD game not looking light years better than this last one, because as I stated in the title - It's just a 1080p version of a last gen game with minimal particle & lighting updates & low res textures & bitmaps. I feel like there are some sad & embarrassed development teams at Infinity Ward right now..

Ghosts is even more impressive on the next-gen hardware of the PlayStation 4. While the current-gen versions are just as competent as ever, rendering the chaotic shootouts at a smooth 60 frames per second, the PS4's next-gen artistry creates a much more immersive battleground. Those effects are most noticeable in the levels that emphasize lighting: the soft bokeh effects of floating embers on a burning oil refinery, or the way moonlight refracts and ripples while underwater. It's essentially the difference between a PC game running on high versus low settings. Each version is functionally the same, but all those extra effects add up to a more engrossing experience.
I only played the campaign, but the multiplayer looks to be fun as well. Call of Duty: Ghosts is a terrific first-person shooter.

This game does a complete 360 from the other cods. In my mind this game is a disgrace and embaresment to the cod games, thanks to this game I will never touch a cod game again it killed the franchise for me. This year you would have way better fun with bf4, the fast paced we know and love from cod is gone in ghost . Have fun crouch walking around the maps because of sound hogs to the max and definitly don't forget to check all the dark corners and nooks and crannies for campers. And ptfo forget about it this game gives no incentive to play it. Bought the game for 30$ sold to gamestop for15$ lost 15$ you can't pay me to play this. last thing the colors are so dull its like they forgot to add color. And the difference between current gen and next gen there isn't any visual difference except the added 6players on next gen. Don't believe me I encourage you to rent the game and try yourself. RIP COD you will be somewhat missed.
