From a person that left fighting games to shooters is that COD was the one that changed me. But this Black ops might change me back to fighter after the disappointment of Medal of Honor and this... I will give this a good rating because of the story line and zombie mode plus I love the R/C car that is on the Prestige Edition that I bought $150.. WOW Now The bad!!! The graphics bad, multi-player man I like it but it takes 4ever to get into a lobby. Spawning in front or back of a enemy sucks. Marvel vs Capcom 3 is coming soon Black Ops might keep me busy for the next couple months so I can return back to the Kings of all Fighter games.
The single player campaign is one the best I have played with the exception of some frame rate problems.I just cant get into the multiplayer,it looks cartoonish and different from the campaign to me.Imo IW MW2 multiplayer is superior, even with the boosters, hackers and knife monkeys.Im on the fence about buying it because of the dislike for the multiplayer so Im giving it an 8 for the single player campaign.

Let me say I had high hopes going into Black Ops even though I'm in the camp of players who prefers Infinity Wards Call of Duty installments, but was willing to give treyarch the benefit of doubt. Thing is especially when it comes to the campaign Black Ops falls a bit short. Love the mature and darker '60s era story and the gore such as limbs being blown off, but a majority of the game is straight up corridors whether inside or trenches which makes the game a very taxing and unfairly cheap experience especially on veteran and I've beaten several COD titles on Veteran so trust me it's level design thats the villan here. Multiplayer is mostly the same as Modern Warfare 2, and seems to have taken a few cues in level progression and rewards from Halo: Reach. It's just the maps are a bit smallish if you ask me, and the designs aren't as solid as MW2. In typical fashion Black Ops is a reasonable substitute but seems to lack that certain something from Infinity Ward's efforts. Sadly Infinity Ward has been discharged from the series... This is definitely Treyarch's best stab at the series yet, but personally I think I'm gonna stick with Halo: Reach for my multiplayer needs or Goldeneye on the Wii for that matter...
