Well, looking back at all the other reviews people either loved it or straight up hated it. I was just going to be a total d-bag and rate it 1 so people who obsesses over the game would be like "Wut u do that 4 u NOOB!" but im going to keep it real and say this game is a decent 6. Let's start with some posotives about the game. Well i personally felt the campaign to have a really strong and great story. The campaign also had a great voice casting by Sam Worthington, Ice cube, Gary Oldman, and Ed Harris. Now lets face it, alot of people dont care when it comes to the campaign so let's talk multiplayer. I found some of the wager matches to be fun, like one in the chamber and gun game, but the catch is the new upgrading system in which you have to buy everything. Now i dont mind trikin out what wepons i like, to be honest i felt pretty satisfied when i put a pink skull on all of my dot sights, but alot of people perfer leveling up and getting all the goods in the process(greedy bums)(jk).
theater mode is pretty cool as long as you actually have something cool to share. i dont want to see some idiot posting him stabbing some guy in the back, it doesnt make you look cool when people do it all the time dumb#$$. Zombies, still fun as ever.Who doesnt love blowing off a guy's head with a shotgun all over the Pentagon? Right? Now im going to describe what is bad in a nutshell, graphics, action, and AI. graphics are a step backwords, action is like a Micheal Bay film on steriods, and AI takes over way to much and allies and enemies are still dumb as a doornob. Thats all i have to say. have a good day.
The Campaign in COD Black Ops is mostly what you would expect from a COD game. It has some "that was cool" moments, some nice graphics (fire looks especially cool), challenging sections (on Veteran difficulty), and some insanely difficult sections (on Veteran).
I did get a bit frustrated/angry during the campaign a few times. There are many little glitches. Also, during two levels in particular, enemies simply kept respawning. Once in a long hallway and once while trying to descend a hillside. In my opinion, sending an infinite number of bad guys is a bit of a cheap way to provide a challenge. This takes all of the fun out of the game in some parts.
Also, it is sometimes unclear what you're supposed to do or how you're supposed to do it. "Push Back the NVA" especially falls in this category.
Friendly AI is often worse than useless because they get in your way or push you out of cover. Enemy AI, on Veteran, is astoundingly good. If you pop out of cover just a tiny bit, expect to get shot. In fact, expect to die a fair amount. I even got killed, MULTIPLE TIMES, running out of cover and jumping down a hill. . .IN MID-AIR.
Overall, I like the game. . .but I am glad I rented it instead of purchased it.
