Call of Duty: Black Ops for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

Ok i most say if you just play the single player side of the game its good but in this day and age we all play a call of duty for one thing and that is online. Now there was a lot of potential built in to this game but it failed on way to many layers. I like to snipe and was ok at it in other call of duty's but in this game they are gimped i was not one of those quick scope players. I like to hard scope and back my team up but in there zeal to kill quick scoping they killed the the hole class the lost all form of accuracy your better off with a m14 or fal with an acog site. Map design also ads to the sniper being useless there are all mostly urban combat in style few and far and long open path ways to snipe down and more ways to flank the holes in swiss chess. In the end it turned the game even more corner camping then MW2 its a massive run and gun game play that lead to my last and most hated part of this game the build in lag. Its not the normal lag that you get with shooters and online play its the game code to balance lattice its to over blown that it kills any kind of game play if your the host. i have gone 31/1 KD then to go 10/32 KD why the first game I was not the host second. As the host there built in game balance gimps me for have a good connection and rewards those with a bad connection and when you are stuck as host your just a sheep to the slaughter as i am 90%. Its not even worth playing when you watch your kill cam and see your guy stand there like he is picking his nose and they smack him down like a red headed stepchild with 3 bullets when you know you where shooting a hole clip at him and it sucks more that you know your the host as the game migrates to a new host as you rage quit.

This game has better cut scenes then game play. i almost fell asleep playing the game it was so easy, boring and predictable. not much of a challenge, sloppy shooting and controls. The online multiplayer isn't great either, no challenge unless your 10 with nothing to do but snipe people like a little weasel who's to scared to face you. All in all, this game has nothing on any of the Halo games and can only hope to give mild satisfaction to a seasoned player...
