First off i have to say im not much in to multiplayer so my review is completely biased to only the single player campaign.

Every time i play a new COD game i always think "they will not be able to top the last one" & so far every time ive been wrong. This game is non stop intense. I mean its just all out full speed all the time. Great great great story! I hate how so many games are gearing towards gameplay & graphics first & sprinkle a little story in there afterwords, this game is story driven & its great!

COD controls & gameplay
Amazing Story
Grahics are great

As always its just to dang short
The character in the game Woods I swear was designed after Ben Stiller in the movie Tropic Thunder, its hard to take the man serisouly when you expect him to go all simple jack on you any second! lol

BlackOps Rocks

COD:BO is yet another great entry into the COD franchise. I hardly noticed the developer change from Infinity Ward to Treyarch. The multi player Is once again top notch. The story mode is great and best of all. Its always fun to kill zombies lol. The only complaint I have is the continuing ease at which players are allowed to rely on camping to get large scores. I wish Activision and Treyarch had done something similar to MAG. In making spawn points elevated and out of the way so a player would have a much more difficult time camping a spawn point. Other then that this game is a easy 9 out of 10.

More Story Than Other COD's

I just finished Black Ops in one sitting this afternoon. It took about 7 hours to complete which flew by because it was so much fun. This game keeps the same high speed tension in the battle sequences like previous COD's. It looks a little less impressive in some areas. Fire for example looks a little blurry and shooting at distant targets is a little tough to see. But the same good ole' game-play in respectable combat conditions.

What really amplified this one for me was the commitment to stick to one man's story. You play 90% as Mason, voiced by Sam Worthington, as he tries to sort out a terrorist plot in the mid 1960's. I found the addition of better storytelling to be the missing piece in the COD franchise. Yes the others were good but I think this is better. I also found it easier to follow one guy than having to jump around to different soldiers every other mission.

This has a twisty narrative that might seem foreign to the series, however American history supports the branches Black Ops wonders out on. For instance World at War had Kiefer narrate where you're going, who you were, then you drop in and fight. This game drops you in one linear point after another, allowing you to experience Mason's journey chronologically.

I really liked Black Ops and I think people who are tired of military shooters will enjoy the plot and the time period enough to play this one through. The best element is the story that spans about 7 years, in order, with only a few deviations in time and characters.

Solid Game Well Worth A Play
