It's that time of year again, when we can expect another CoD game, of course this year is no different. And I think Treyarch finally understood this, at least a little bit. There are a couple of refreshing changes they brought to the series this time around. Ignore the fanboys who are going to hate on the game just because it is CoD, this one is a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, and this one is actually pretty good. So here it goes:
The Good:
- Finally some updated graphics
- Good storyline, not as linear this time around
- Campaign give you choices, that you can fail which will ultimately change the story and the ending you get. That's right, multiple endings for a change
- Parts of the campaign goes back to cold-war era and let's you play with those guns again
- Pick 10 system for multiplayer is a nice new change
- New guns are pretty cool
The Meh:
- The menu setup through most of the game is pretty awkward
The Bad:
- Campaign is short, granted this is somewhat expected, but still
- Nuketown 2025 should have just been included in the game, not just for preorders
Long Story Short:
I was skeptical when they released that the next game would be a Black Ops 2, but decided to buy it nonetheless. And I was honestly surprised, because it is much better than I was expecting it to be. Don't expect anything truly groundbreaking, it is still a CoD game, but the little changes make it feel pretty new. Give it an honest chance, and I'm sure you'll be surprised too.
