I first played this game on PS2 and thought it would be neat on the Wii with all the cool advances. I think it was actually more fun on the PS2! The controls were terrible and running around in circles looking for animals to shoot is not my idea of a good time. Lastly, the little missions are annoying because you can actually get in trouble for shooting a buck and not a doe! What sense does that make?

I have played numerous hunting games & none have really sparked that real life feel & niether has this one...I thought it would be better with the Wii....not so much...just does'nt have a good grasp on control. The art in the game is very good but sorry to say I won't be renting or playing any more hunting games anymore. I'll just stick to the real thing.

Cabela's Legendary Adventures does a very good job of giving a real look at hunting prey. You wander about the areas following the tracks until you find the prey. At least that's what supposed to happen. But getting to spot the tracks is very sluggish and clunky. To make matters worse, these tracks are old and lead me round in circles; one set of tracks leads to another and another with no sight of the target animal. So, I spend a lot of time wandering about the woods finding nothing more than a few squirrels and a pair of does to shoot at. Not very intense. It's too bad the game lacks excitement; Legendary Adventures looks great. The reflection of the water is perfectly done. Maybe there's some secret to using the tracks to find the target animals. Maybe there's some tactic I'm supposed to use, like wait at a spot for a certain period of time. But if that's the case, the game has to give me hints as to these tactics - because I'm not going to find out for myself. Unless you know a few things about hunting, I suggest you skip Cabala's Legendary Adventures.
