Bad

No control adjustment!

The game isn't too bad overall. It does repeat itself quite often though. The thing I didn't like about the game as a whole...I play all my games with the y-axis inverted, there is absolutely no adjusting the controls at all. To me, the game was pretty much unplayable because of that.

The new open world (almost) hunting theme is more fun than any previous Cabela's game and quite different. But it's simple and straight forward. Walk, sneak, hide, aim, shoot and hope for a good score. Overall the graphics suck for a new age game, there is no story, but it's not an on the rails game which is good. You basically just look for the male and try to hide and shoot it in the heart for the best score. If you like beating the world and have patience you''ll like the rent and you'll buy it for about 15 bucks. I'll take the easy achievement points and return it probalby.
Two complaints I hope they fix. I want to be able to go prone anywhere because the prone stands don't face the prey sometimes. And sometimes running animals get stuck on trees and screw up your sneaking abilities.

If you've played any of the other Cabelas games, then this will meet your expectations. It's pretty similar to the other previous games that have been out. Controls of the user are a bit clunky at times, but all in all it's a fun game. You walk or walk slowly to a position that provides the best position for the shot, mark the best animal to get, that's it. If you want to get more into it, you can figure out the best place to shoot from to get the most points, or complete the bonus requirements to earn more points, and of course discover tracks. Sound familiar? All in all it's a fun game. Absolutely worth a rental if you like these types of games.
