this game has great replay value

the graphics arent the best, the controls are kind of annoying, but the variety of animals to hunt and terain types make for an exciting game. Also, whebn you shoot at an animal, the camera follows the bullet until it hits something which is a very cool feature. Also, the animations of animals dying is hilarious, the way they roll and fall and the sounds they make is so funny. For instance, in the tundras i shot a polar bear and it rolled down a mountain for about 45 seconds and the camera followed the polar bear until it fell into the frozen lake. it was really cool. this game is deffinetly worth renting, and probably buying. its fun and entertaining.

Very Good

Best Hunting Experience...Except for Real Life

Hunting/Sports games have always been something that to me have been destined to never be on top of my list (because let's face it...nothing beats the real thing). However even now 7 years after this game came out, it still remains to be the best overall representation of the hunting experience (again outside of doing it for real) I have ever seen.

Career Mode makes for a Long and Enjoyable Hunting Game

Highest Variety of Terrain and Number of Huntable Animals in any Cabela's Game

Incredible Arsenal of Equipment from Guns to Accessories to Survival Equipment

Gives you tags for certain animals and will penalize you for poaching or other rule breaking

Gives your custom designed character stats to help them play and hunt to your particular style

By default shows you where the animals are at all times on the HUD display resulting in few surprise sightings (removable option)

Blood effects are rather poor at times making it hard to track wounded targets unless HUD positioning is active.

Huge maps and obstacles can make advanced strategies and equipment harder to succeed than just hunting on foot.

Despite these seemingly major issues with the game, the sheer diversity, incredibly thought out details/equipment, and the availability of side missions and shooting tournaments along the way whittle them down to occasional annoyances that impact the overall experience very little. Highly recommend this game to anybody who appreciates the sport.

Game didn't work

We got the game and it wouldn't work. The screen kept flickering everytime you tried to use the scope. It got so frustrating, we just sent it back.
