Glad I rented it first

This game took me a total of about 12 to play and finish. I am glad that I rented it first, because I would have been sorely disappointed if I had bought it, finished it, and then was stuck with a game I most likely wouldn't play again.
There are 5 crimes you have to solve. They are pretty detailed, but I noticed that several times the characters stuttered at the beginning of a scene. Loading time aggravated me, especially when you have to go back and forth (which you actually have to do quite a lot). Every time you change a location or need to talk to someone else, you get a loading screen. I never timed it, but it's probably 15-30 seconds each time. Or at least it seems that way. Most of the game time is actually spent waiting.
I know there are limitations to this type of game, but the game seems very coached. The tutorial isn't even necessary. I played the tutorial and then found out that had I just gone straight into the first crime, your "partner" teaches you everything as you go along. For the forensic tools, you are only allowed access to a couple of them at a time, and your partner tells you if its the wrong tool You never really have to remember what a certain tool is or what it does. The tutorial, in my opinion, is basically pointless since the gameplay and controls are pretty simple.
It's a pretty fun game. It's almost like a CSI episode, only you have to advance the episode yourself. I enjoyed playing it, but for me, it has zero replay value.
