The game is awesome, variety of magic skills, lots of killing, free costume DLC's, and a sexy character named Alicia to go with it. The game's controls can be a bit annoying due to a really akward aiming system, to select magic, u have to scroll through three magic trees with the bumbers, the zoom sucks, and barely any use for the melee attack. The graphics arent all that great for the time we're in now, but still playable. Now i'd have to say, the best part about this game despite all the flaws that were already mentioned, is the ability to replay through the game with the abilities that u already have from completing the game the first time. Now the game is only 6 stages long unfortunately, but u'll find urself playing through them over and over just to max out ur character's statistics such as weapon upgrades, magic upgrades, and even HP and MP upgrades. Overall, the game is good for its time. If they made a Bullet Witch 2 with modern day controls, graphics, etc, I'd definitely play it without a second thought.

BulletWitch Review

Bulletwitch
3rd Person Shooter

Controls: Simple controls, easy to figure out combat.

Story:Story is lackluster, and voice acting isn't very good. Facial animations don't match the mood very well.

Pacing: With no sense of objective, it's easy to get lost. Unleashing tornado in the woods level results in you jumping around tree stumps in circles till you happen upon the exit path.

Visuals: Game looks great, with the exception of facial animations not matching mood or just looking ridiculous.

Multiplayer: There are leader boards for time trials, but not real multiplayer to speak of.

Overview: This game is fun for a while but lack of map, or directional marker and poor story keep this from being a great game.

I gave this game an 8 out of 10. I am a fan of third-person shooters and Bulletwitch delivers a unique style to the genera. I may be a bit biased because I'd love to see more games like this on the market. Imagine giving a Final Fantasy style black mage a mini-gun with unlimited ammo. That's pretty much Bulletwich in a nutshell. The gameplay is solid with a decent level of destruction, and mixing the different weapons and magic is very cool.

No game is perfect and Bulletwitch is not without its flaws. The old school graphics do detract from the epic boss battles, and the limited enemy variations means one play-through will probably be enough.

I would definitely throw this game into the cult-classic category along with ICO and EDF:2017, simply because it isn't for everyone. However, in my humble opinion it's worth a try.
