Having only previously played Chaos Bleeds I was unsure what to expect. I had been hoping that the original Buffy would be made BC with the 360, so as soon as it was added I jumped on the chance to rent it.
I found the graphics to be better then Chaos Bleeds, and the dialouge and music was better as well, really adding to the experience. I felt like I was really in an episode of Buffy.
I found the controls to be responsive and easy to figure out. While there is a certain amount of button mashing in an fighter game, I found it easy to perform - and duplicate - special moves. Camera angles can be a pain, but not as often as some other games I've tried. I loved the sniper mode on the crossbow, which allowed me to be way more proficient with it then in Chaos Bleeds...
All in all, the game stays true to the show, while at the same time being enough of a stand alone that people new to the Buffy world could still pick this game up and enjoy it. The voice acting by the majority of the original cast (SMG being the exception) lends to a great gaming experience. If you are a fan of Buffy, this is a must play game. And if you aren't already a fan, this is still a very solid Xbox game worth trying.
