Sloppy and glitchy (PS3)

Starting the game was interesting. After updates were applied, and I start the game from the PS3 'desktop' I get about 2 minutes of blackness and no HDD access before the game starts.
The controls are very 'sloshy' and imprecise.
The objectives are very poorly explained, and make little sense. As an example, in the renegade side, the first mission is to guard a door that you (and your enemies) can access from both sides by simply walking around a bit.
Closing down the game also gave me about 2 minutes of black screen and no HDD access. I ended up having to do a manual shutdown to get the disc out of the machine.
