Really Bad

A "Learning Game" with no Payoff

This game has tests on different things (colors, shape, etc) but each test is done the same way. There is a "story" to go along with the game, which is an interesting idea, but there is little substance behind it. Do some tests on one island, then go to the next island and do the same tests with a little more difficulty. The tests are mostly pass/fail, and it is pretty easy to pass them.

These tests might be decent, but I could not find any way to track progress or see what you can improve on. I felt that they were trying to pass off these learning tasks as something you want to do just for the fun of it. It simply isn't very fun to do these things and see no reward other than passing the "game". Stick with Brain Age or Big Brain Academy.

It's like Kindergarten, but worse...

After having been addicted to Brain Age, I decided it would be a good idea to try and play a spin-off game, to see if my "prefrontal cortex" training had done me any good anywhere else. So I came to play such games as Big Brain Academy and Beta Wave.

They sucked.

I thought I'd give Brain Boost: Gamma Wave a try.. I literally put it in my DS, pressed all the necessary things to get to me to play the game, played for one and a half minutes and turned off my DS. I was disgusted.

If you're looking for a good game, don't come here. Just check out Brain Age. Plus, the Doctor-with-too-few-polyg- ons is entertaining, in and of himself.

Very innovative

Very creative and innovative game. Unlike other self improvement and brain games this game trains you subconsiously(meanning not using the school mode while playing a game). You can have fun while improving the brains function. The only reason I didn't give this game a 10 is that like everything else there is room for improvement.
