Got Borderlands 2 when it came out. I liked it enough to play through a couple times, then I convinced my wife to give it a try. She now considers killing bandits and raiding loot chests "together time". We have all the DLC and have played through regular and True Vault Hunter modes at least half a dozen times, each. Ultimate is difficult but still fun. This sequal outmatches the original in every way: bigger and more colorful world, slightly deeper story, more toys (by which I mean weapons), more extensive skill trees, more side quests, more challenging enemies, and on and on. I can't say enough about it. Just rent it, give it a try, and be ready to buy.
Borderlands was a great game and Borderlands 2 takes all that was great about that and improves upon it. The controls are great and similar to other shooters. The story is one of the best I have played in a long time. I seemed to play hours on end doing side quests, ranking up, gathering and testing out new guns and much, much more. This game is a must play title for anyone that loves the intense firefights this game brings, but with the intense firefights comes funny moments throughout the game. You meet many characters that are funny but still bring you into the entire story. The many, many guns is also a really nice feature that you can get occupied searching for better weapons to use for you class. An amazing game that I would suggest you rent.
