Sacha Baron Cohen's fiendishly ridiculous Borat caught just about every critic off guard when it became the most-talked-about comedy of 2006 and one of those films that takes pop culture by storm. While the critics seemed surprised, fans of Cohen's HBO series Da Ali G Show knew exactly what they were in for. On the show, Cohen's a comedic chameleon, slipping into a variety of skins and talking with real-life people who have no idea they're being spoofed. Cohen used the same recipe for Borat (full title: Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan), disappearing into the role of a Kazakhstani reporter sent to document the U.S. for those in his home country, only to wind up obsessed with Pamela Anderson.
