This game in it's own right is a surprisingly satisfying and fun game. And as for a game based on a movie, its absolutly awesome. THis game uses the Call of Duty 4 game engine and you can tell. The enviroments have that COD feel and the controls and mechanics feel very familiar. They modified the engine to add a cover system which works quite well. It would have been nice to have this system in COD4. It functions pretty much like the Gears of War cover with one little extra. If your in cover and want to move to new cover, just point your recticle in the direction you want, hold A and Bond makes a mad dash to the new cover. Really awesome and works well. The guns are great fun to. They look VERY authentic and the accuracy is spot on as it should. The game environment is full of Bond style activity from explosions to enemies popping out of cover to falling debris. It's very alive. The takedown system is quite nice if not to easy. You simply run up to someone, hit the right stick and push 1 button that the screen shows and that's it.
As for multiplayer, it's more than would be expected from a movie game. It has a decent selection of modes and plays just like Counter Strike but with a cover system. You gain cash after each round that allows you to buy new guns and even gold plate them. The onlne was quite stable as well when i played. No lag whatsoever.
Overall this is a very good game deserving of respect. If it were just a bond game stand alone like "everything or nothing" was, it's great already. But being based on the new movie (and some of Casino Royal) makes it even sweeter. If your a Bond fan, you'll find something to love. If you've played all the triple A titles and need something new. This will satisfy.
