Excellent game, bringing back the old bomberman style that everyone could enjoy, all overhead baby! The graphics as well are great. The storyline is simple to understand and fun to follow, highly recommended for ALL NDS users :D Enjoy!

Good

Great Multi-Player, Disappointing Single Player

Bomberman is back and unfortunately he is back to his old self. This is especially disappointing for anyone who has played the Gameboy version of Bomber because that game combined the classic multi-player Bomberman but actually had a single player game that was worth playing through. So unfortunately Bomberman being his old self you will have to settle for the multi-player experience.

The games single player is exactly like the old Bomberman game. You are in a room and you are trying to blow up randomly floating enemies. The only difference is that when you find a power up you know longer use it immediately. You save it and it can be activated at anytime by touching the item on the touch screen. However the single player bomber wasn’t very good than and it isn’t good now.

Now the multi-player is where this game shines. You can get up to 8 players (humans and cpu) in a two screen battle royal to the death. There is enough board ands enough options to make each game different. The game was great when there was at most 5 players and now it is even better with 8. The CPU is competent enough to provide challenge when you can’t find 7 other people to play with.

The game succeeds as an outstanding multi-player game. The absence of a decent single player though really makes the overall package disappointing because there used to be an awesome single player experience in Bomberman.
