If you can look past the cheesy story and set pieces, you'll find a really fun game. It's a unique genre as an action-puzzle game, and it is worth checking out if you like that sort of thing.
The quest mode is a bit shallow and linear, but it does still hold the cartoony charm that the rest of the game has. I wasn't too crazy about the alternate game modes, such as war, and two-player trials. Those just felt tacked on and make the game more difficult than it needs to be.
It's still a game that shouldn't be skipped over because it's different.
It definitely isn't the best game in the world, but it is fun and that's all that matters.
