Bleach: Soul Resurreccion, is a game that has received more publicity than it should. This is not a game you want to just pick up out of nowhere. In order to fully understand the storyline, you would have to have either read the manga, or watched the anime. Throughout the game you’re provided with synopses of the different episode you are playing. However, they are short and not very well detailed, so if you've never really watched, or read the series you will not understand what is going on. On the other hand, if you are new to the melee fighting style of games, this is a game for you. It is basically button smasher heaven. The combat system allows for easy combos and a quick death for the Hollows, but if you enjoy a challenge then you may not enjoy this game. For the combat system is elementary and could have used more attention during the creation process. Even on hard all the levels seem to go by fast, and the boss fights, even faster. Over all, the story line is choppy and the combat system needs work, but for all those button smashers out there, this just might be the game you are looking for.

Okay so i have followed the anime series BLEACH since episode 1 and there is 200+ episodes. I know the story like the back of my hand and every character. This game starts you at about episode 125 or something close to that so its really confusing and A LOT to take in for people who know little about bleach. However, for the people that do know a thing or two about the series, it will please you for a few days with considerable graphics and array of characters to choose from. however the depth of the game is shallow and i beat it through and through with S rank on everything in about 3 days after getting it in the mail. There are no internet aspects of the game except for putting your score for a few things online to compare with others. Overall i think the game is cool for bleach fans but a total waste of time for non bleach fans. That being said, the game will only reach a small audience and it is most defiantly NOT worth spending 50+ on. just rent it, play it for a few days then return it and get a better game like MASS EFFECT 2 or UNCHARTED 2, both those games are defining titles of the ps3 system.
The game's art style is nice. It represents the look and feel of the Bleach TV series quite well. The game controls are responsive, but the action can feel a little chopy at times. You can complete the story mode rather quickly, and I've heard some have done it in less than five hours. Overall, I was disappointed with this game. The story mode is lackluster and the enemies are too easy. The levels are short with you moving from battle stage to battle stage, followed by a quick boss battle. I'm quite pleased I rented this game rather than having pruchased it. If you like a repetitive button masher, with a dismal final boss battle, and have some time to kill, then this may be your game.
