Nothing like the show

I got this because I am a huge Bleach fan and I was thinking that this game was going to be like the show and I was so wrong about that. The graphics on this game kind of came across as a mix between 2D and 3D so that was one of the downfalls to this game. Another downfall would have to be the fact that it was repetitive (and not in a good way). One of the huge pluses of the game is that they got the characters correct on it. There are three things that would have made this game great. First if it had two players and the story was Co-Op (and not split screen), the second would be if THQ or Sony would have made this. The last thing would have to be if you was able to create your own Bleach character from scratch. Overall, I would rent this maybe if you are a Bleach fan; but you will get bored with it very fast.

Bleach: Soul Resurrection

Being a fan of the manga and anime series I had alot of expection at the start. Honestly I wasn't let down. The gameplay, visuals, breakable environment, even the music made me feel as though I was playing the anime. The main story line follows Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends as they attempt to breach Hueco Mundo and save their kidnapped companion Orihime, face the Arrancars and defeat the evil Soskue Aizen by obtaining the ultimate spiritual pressure. Not alot of new stuff if your a fan of the series although gamers without that background might have some trouble understanding the plot. They won't however have any trouble figuring out the goal. The gameplay is basic hack and slash meleee with some distant/projectile attacks and specials thrown in. The cool thing the Bleach does is give each character their own specific weapon so every one of them feels original and not just some cookie cutter cut-out. Once your Spiritual pressure has hit its limit the gamer can go into "Ignition" mode and rage out on all the hollows or soul reapers chosen. There are a number of playable characters in the game and completing all of the missions, time attacks, and soul attacks will require the gamer to level up them all. So if your a fan of the series and want to play as your favorite residents of that world or if your just a gamer looking for a fun game. I would definitly recommend this title.
