Blazing Angles Bland Flakes when you want Bacon

Blazing Angles can be described in one word, Bland. The graphics are dull and dated, the back ground is flat and uninviting, and the game play is repetitive.

While nothing in this game is horrible outside of arcade mode, its just nothing in this game stands out and says play me. There is a few different game types to play around with, but they are still all the same monotonous game play with a different title.

I owned this game a few years ago, and sold it immediately, but I recently rented it just so I can knock out the 7 achievements the game challenges you to get. One achievement has you play through the Arcade mode and defeat 3 waves of 12 planes, with all 32 available airplanes. This becomes torture as its the same freaking thing over and over again for about four hours of game play. I would rather go and get the achievement in Mafia 2 that involves you driving 1000 miles, which anyone who has attempted that achievement knows how annoying that was. This was worse and less time. This highlighted the feel of the game as a whole, too repetitive.

It might amuse for a couple of hours, but for serious gamers, there is nothing in this game that will make you say, "this was time well spent".

Weak

Worst Voice Acting EVER!!!

I rented this back in 2006 when I was using another rental service. I had sent it back after playing through the game and getting 150 gamer score out of it. I recently rented it again to pick up the 850 points I didn't get the first time around. Fairly easy to get the rest of the achievements, but the voice acting is still so annoying. You can turn it down, but then you miss the 1 important bit out of the 1000 same things they always say.

Online is dead. I tried just for the heck of it, and as expected I was all alone.
