Although this game isn't innovative or overly amazing despite the fact that it had the potential to be. However despitethis it does succedd in one area, it exceeds at being a good solid RPG.
This is one of those games that on the most part, people either love it or hate it, and this can be easily understood. This game has a lot of potential, a fully open 3-D world that moved in real tiem without rest, a crafting system, and a battle system that has the heroes and the villians sharing from the same renewable source of MP leaving it open for lots of strategy. throw in that the cycles of the moon can influence crafting and battles and it seems like an incredible package. unti;l you play it and see these features in action. The open fields just seem to go on forever without enough save points, and if it weren't for the map option you'd be lost most of the time because you can't really see al that far in front of you. the real passage of time that never stops seems like a good idea, until you need to pause for a second, no long enough to warent sleep mode, but long enough to get you killed. the whole shared MP thing would be cool, if enemies used spells on a regular basis, and the cycles of the moon really only make a major change if you pay close attention.
Now don't think I'm saying this is a bad game, just failing in any attempt to be ood and diffrent. Really at the end of the day It feels like a good solid classic RPG with a few tweaks that never really change the action. At the end of the day this game will likely only appeal to RPG fans who can look beyond it's rampant but mostly minor faults and see the solid game it is.
