If your a hardcore game-play-er this is not for you. A lot of is repetitive. But if your going for story its perfect for you. Yes, it's convoluted but most just look at the scratch surface of the game. Don't pay hard attention to the surface you will be confused. This third installment is written under its own merits. It can't be compared for how extremely different than the Rapture we all came to know and love is. Though don't be quick to judge. There is as much corruption and worthy as the first two had in there society. If you compare and liked the first two and stick on that...yeah your going to not like it as much or hate it. If anyone decides to play this game go in with a level of open mindedness and not to be distant from Columbia.
Now gameplay was disappointing. But if you totally get into the story it can be somewhat overlooked.
Graphics are beautiful.
The world is new and fresh.
The story is only as good as you make it to be and what you understand and try to keep up. Also if you don't understand one concept that it gives you in the story look it up after you play it (Hint Hint). The ending is true there is too much to absorb in simply because of all the things that finally punches you in the story.
Travel in game is very straight forward. But even the first two games of this franchise was like that. It's just a matter of do you want to explore. Also the open world of it makes the travel look small.
The vigors and salts and all those. Extremely disappointing. Hoping for cool upgrades of weapons, but it kept it down to earth. Powers a little easier since you have room to aim anywhere now.
The choices in the game has changed and lessened. Choices you make doesn't effect your ending only what happens a little during the story. First two had repetitive choices, third didn't but not as many choices.
Overall very satisfied. Next game has room for more improvement to make it better. All in all this game will not be forgotten.
