Takes the gameplay of the original and expands upon it. The gameplay is fast and fluid, and if you enjoyed the first one you'll feel right at home here. The ability to dual weild plasmids and weapons is a nice addition. The graphics are nice and the sound is pretty. The only part of gameplay that isn't really needed is the underwater segments. You also never feel like a big daddy. You as powerful as you were in the first game, but it still is fun. The game falls from grace though for it's story. It's not bad, but it is no where as compelling as the first game. There is a lack of depth, and interesting characters. The new cast it decent but they weren't able to top iconic characters like Andrew Ryan, Sander Cohen, and Fontaine. The multiplayer is a fun diversion at first, but players will be probably get bored of it after a short time.
Sound-10
Graphics-9
Gameplay-9
Story-7
Replayability-8
Multiplayer-6
Overall-9
Even though it falls flat in the story and multiplayer department, there is no denying the core gameplay is as compeling in not more so then ever before.
