This game immediately struck me as intensely true to the source material. Like the show it is based on, the dialogue is cheesy and the plot lines are predictable. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that.
The two elements that make this game shine, as much as it CAN shine, are the upgrade systems for the characters and the action itself.
Essentially a drive-through shooter at heart, it periodically throws in racing elements or short beat'em'up scenes that really capture the flavor of the original series and the new series currently airing in Europe.
Level design is quite nice overall, and the flow of the missions tends to be really entertaining. Most missions tend to be easy, with some being harder based on play style and mission objective. Switching out you character significantly changes the game play as well, from the way that your bike behaves to the combos you can throw when your feet hit the ground.
This isn't a candidate for game of the year, but it's a solid game and a must-play for fans of the series or possibly Starfox fans.
