i did everything possible to install this game (INCLUDING FRORMATING MY SYSTEM) and it will not install.
don't have any issues with any other game except this one. AM NOT HAPPY I wasted 1 week of waiting for this to come in the mail .....
It is an insult to compare the two games. Its like comparing arena football to the NFL. Its like comparing flank steak to filet mignon. Just because it came from the same company means NOTHING. Naught Dog made Crash Bandicoot but can you campare that to the Last of Us?
This game is in its own right a masterpiece. The story line is even more important in this game than in the Last of Us.
Sure, maybe the characters stand up out of a chair in a similar way, but the movement is NOTHING the same. This is an emotionally gripping, wonderfully put together experience.
Its at times very very fast paced and action paced, at other times, it draws you in to ethical and morally based decisions that very much decide which of the over two dozen endings you will experience.
If not for The Last Of us, this would easily be game of the year. HOWEVER, this is a co-op two player game but NOT on online multi-player game. So I'm not comparing it to COD or GTA5.
But for true gamers, it would be a real shame to deny yourself the experience of of enjoying a really, really well put together experience with all the elements we game lovers crave.

For those of you who liked Heavy Rain, this game will appear a huge step up from that one. The controls have got an upgrade (MUCH easier walking!) and I liked the story better in this one. I'll break it down.
This is where the game shines. Amazing story that will make you not want to leave your ps3 until the game is finished. I don't get sucked into games very often, but this one really got me. The story also happens to be unique; another brilliant aspect of the game.
This is where the "not perfect" part comes in. Granted, it was a big step up from Heavy Rain, the controls still were troublesome. It is now much easier to navigate around with the main character. The thing that really bothered me was the slow motion sequences; basically, when in action (usually combat) with someone else, you are required to push the right stick towards the direction of… well I'm really not sure. At times this seemed obvious which direction to go, but probably close to half of the sequences I messed up on because I had no idea. Maybe this was intended to make the gamers think, but I surely did not enjoy it.
Once you've played it, you have the general story down. However, there are multiple areas in which making a different choice could change the outcome of the main character's actions. This definitely supports a second run through if you are so inclined. However, there is no multiplayer.
Overall I'd give this game a 9/10. It was super fun, and I really got sucked in by the story. A few non-intuitive slow motion sequences really bothered me in a few places, which seemed to be the only problem. Absolutely worth a rental just for the story alone!
