I would rate higher than ten because this game to me was fun. Just the same concept as heavy rain but better graphic and the story line was great. Recommend to who ever likes heavy rain to try this game out.
If you liked Heavy Rain, then you'll love what Team Quantic Dream has brought to the table. Once again, I am sold! Heavy Rain brought me sweaty palms, a high heart rate, and the constant wondering of WHO the Origami Killer actually was. In Beyond: Two Souls, I was brought the same and more. Several instances I became teary eyed, and I was so glued to the screen, I'm surprised I didn't play the whole game through in one sitting!
Beyond is not your run of the mill videogame. It's more than that. It is a deeply touching, emotional story of two very special beings and the friends and foes they come across that simply cannot be compared, nor explained in words. I rarely give a game 10 stars (given Heavy Rain 8, also Mass Effect series and Fallout + Skyrim are 10s in my book), but when I do, I have a lot to say.
There is SO MUCH variety in setting, design, emotion, and choice. You only have so much time to make a choice, and that makes it all the more personal. The ending I got, I feel, was the best and tugged the most on my heart strings. I could go on and on, but I only have so many letters I can type :D
Every single element in this story is perfect. Everything in this game that was put there has mastered its place. The movement, the acting and tone of voices, and really... this incredible story makes you think.
(by the way, if you are able to, check out The Dark Sorcerer. It's a little parody Quantic Dream made as a prototype for the PS4)
Anyway, I suggest playing Heavy Rain first, and play it ALL THE WAY THROUGH. You will want to, trust me ;) Then, play Beyond: Two Souls. It all depends if you feel it's worth a buy, but an absolute rent indeed! Plus, Jodie is pretty cute.
Quantic Dream, you have my heart. Both of your productions have brought me immeasurable immersion. And ladies and gentlemen, you better believe when Quantic Dream does something, it is gaming royalty. Oh yeah, this is intended for adults.

I seriously considered buying this game when it first came out.......I'm really glad I didn't.
It was 95% movie and 5% annoying repetitive gameplay. The choppy story line was somewhat intriguing at first and the only reason I kept at it till the end...... Though towards the end I did catch myself screaming for the credits to roll already.
Basically, if you're into watching disjointed 10+ hour movies that you have to watch in slo-mo, then this is the game for you. If you prefer to be involved and actually "play" your games, then steer clear of this one.
