I loved the first game. So it hurts me to write this. While the graphics are very much improved the game play is regressed. It amounts to one step forward, two back in my opinion.
It is a good game to rent, as the single player is fun. The interface is just too fustratrating for me to play for extended hours. Also, the auto aim features really take out a lot of the skill. If you are a hard core war gamer, the overall dynamics disappoint.
Other games like EndWar have a much more refined interface and control dynamic. I don't find myself frustrated with the game play in EndWar like I do in Pacific. The fact that the units are so much more elaborate in Pacific does not compensate for this fundamental issue. Midway was easier to control.
well the multi player was difficult for a player that rented the game and it is hard for a person that didn't play midway so they just learned the moves. i found it easier for a person like me that mastered midway so on the side of the campaign well it is for a person with time on there hands it is long and hard.
