9 when the servers work

Short and sweet. Love this game when the servers work, or when it actually saves my campaign progress. Sometimes youll join an online match and your multiplayer progress will be gone. Your guns will be reset but if you back out and join a different match your guns will return, that is, if you can actually join a server.

I have mixed feelings about this game. I wanted to like it because is it is on the Xbox One, at the same time I dislike many aspects of the game. I feel like the game was rushed, looking at the single player aspect, there were many minor bugs. None of these were game breaking, but they were horrible to see (Helicopter fast rope in the sky after helo was destroyed). What irked me the most was the AI, it seemed like the friendly AI only seemed to suppress the enemy and once in a while kill them. The enemy AI seemed to always know where I was and ignored my teammates whom they almost bump shoulders into just to come get me. The storyline was intriguing at certain points, but I feel that they rushed it as well and didn't really invest any time into making correlation to the previous games. character development is very little if any, you know they are a squad and have been together for a while, but other than that you know nothing else other than shoot at the bad guy. I feel that the online portion seems to be lacking from the previous iteration as well. 64 player battles are great, and the levolution offers another element to tactics. Game bugs, lack of interaction with commander mode (unlike Battlefield 2's awesome commander mode) gives no incentive for the players to have use their commanders. Although I did not invest much time at all in the online, I did not feel that I wanted to; there wasn't anything that wowed me, or made me want to get into the game either. I have been a solid fan of the Battlefield series since BF Vietnam, and I have to say that I am rather disappointed in the product that DICE has put out. I hope their next iteration will not disappoint, and I hope that EA gives them a bit more freedom and not rush a product out like COD.
