Most of the people i've talked to about the battlefield series of games have all raved about them (this one and 1942), but they were talking about them for the PC. I figured i would give it a try for xbox, after all the concept of the game is as good as it gets. I was disappointed however to find that, for xbox, battlefield 2 lacked the graphics and speed to make it an all time great. By speed i mean the loading time for internet games and single player missions. Being somewhat of an anxious video gamer i found that the amount of time it takes to load any aspect of the game i could have done a load of laundry or mow the lawn...well you get my drift. It just isn't worth the wait to then get launched into a mediocre playing field. the online play is of course the highlight b/c you can do anything......but unless you're an avid battlefield fan it just isn't worth wasting a week of time just to see if it is cool....i didn't get through the single player missions only because they were tedious and i was tired of sitting in a hum-v. All in all, unless you're already hooked on the battlefield series, i would not recommend renting this game through gamefly.
