Getting the bad stuff out of the way first: Batman Begins is pretty linear and not very long, the vehicle levels are not very challenging, the camera can be a pain sometimes, and the cutscenes don't add very much to the experience (we've all seen the movie). Now to the good stuff: Batman looks great and moves well, the game has decent atmosphere, the voice acting is good (the original cast is used), the stealth component is easy to pull off yet feels appropriate, fighting is fairly satisfying, the unlockable retro batsuits are a nice touch, and the game allows you to succeed without tearing your hair out first. Batman Begins lets you become Batman, and he's SUPPOSED to win, right?

Batman Begins is a pretty fun game. In the game you have to scare your enemies so they drop their weapons. Although Batman could take out five unarmed enemies easy, one person with a gun will decorate the wall with you. The Batmobile missions are really fun. You can replay them any time by choosing bonus at the main menu. The graphics are also pretty good, at least for the places you can go to. If you look out a window of a building you will notice the other buildings aren't that good looking. There are things that couldn't get in to meet the deadline when the movie comes out. If you look off the edge of a building you'll see that there is no ground. There are other things like Batman doesn't actually open doors, press buttons, or turn valves. The game is pretty short so you might want to play it again if you don't feel satisfied. Batman Begins is probably the best Batman game out there right now.

This is the way a Batman game needs to be set up. The graphics, while not stunning, weren't horrid either. The story doesn't follow the movie too closely, but then if I wanted the movie, I'd watch the movie. The controls are very user friendly, and the additions of scare tactics (a la Splinter Cell) gives something Batman needed in his video games. I'm not a huge fan of the new Batmobile's (the Tumbler!?!) design, but the driving sequences are fun nonetheless, though maybe a bit too easy. Come to think of it, the whole game is on the easy side(10 hours MAX to beat all of it), but better to have a game that's too easy than too hard (what's the fun in a game that you get worked in the first half hour of play?). Now, if Dark Tomorrow, with it's awesome musical score and great cast of villains was made with this game's mechanics, you'd have a 10-star Batman Game on your hands.
