Great game for all batman fans and any other comic book fans. The story line was short though. But it didn't bother me. Another thing they should of include was more super heroes and villains. But I ain't complaining.

I played the 1st title of this franchise and it was ok. This one I just could not get into. I played for about 2 hours when I realized I did not really enjoy this game. The constant background dialogue got annoying fast. Batman searches throughout the city for his objectives and constantly picks up thugs talking on the radio and you have to listen to every part of it, most of it has nothing to do with the plot line and the constant jabber gets old. When on a mission and have not progressed in a certain amount of time Batman will talk to himself (really he is trying to direct you IE. "I have to find a way to get to the top of the bell tower") every 5 seconds, and that gets really annoying quick, you'll find yourself shouting "I KNOW BATMAN SHUT UP!" cause really you just want to explore and Batman will constantly hassle you about moving along to his objective. The dialogue between other characters (especially cat-woman) is full of cheesy puns and cliche references. I was only an hour into to before I had to stop playing because it was just way to corny. I am a huge Batman fan but with this game it wasn't enough, I didn't like the controls and I didn't care for the sandbox world. I liked it better when it was more linear and easier to navigate. The level up system was kind of overwhelming for me because it was so many things to upgrade and learn how to do. There are Wayne tech monitors you have to find to 'train you' to learn better moves and I didn't like that either. Overall the game was ok, and the story seemed to have a very deep plotline but I just wasn't interested enough to keep playing. I played for about 2 hours then put it back in the mail, maybe I'll pick it up again later.
I have to say that this was a really nice sequel to the batman arkham series. I thought the storyline was well written and the action seemed very smooth as far as technology is concerned. The controls were easy to pick up on and once you got the hang of it, remembering the buttons was not a problem. I will have to say that I wish the some of the map was not so congested with side missions that drew you away from the main plot. However, I can understand that it gives you more playing time and I can't argue with that! I guess I am just one of those that wants to complete everything one at a time before going on to the next.
The graphics were smooth and appealing to me, which were better than the first Batman Arkham game. Definitely a must-play for anyone who likes the adventure/role playing genre of games. Look forward to playing the new Batman that will be released in a couple of weeks.
