Batman: Arkham City for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

I was amazed to see DC make a sequel of this favored hero. In Arkham City, you are taken hostage by Hugo Strange and find out he knows Batman is Bruce Wayne. Also in this game, Joker plays a big role as you find out he is slowly dying from some mysterious poison in his blood. I don't want give away anything else about this game other than it will have a suprising ending! If you actually buy the game you will get a code to play the sneaky thief, Catwoman. You can play as her and battle thugs that will get in your way with her special whip and razor-sharp claws. This is hands down the best "superhero" fall game in 2011! I hope you are as happy as I am to see a old hero to get a dark, blood-thirsty new look.

First and foremost... this game is great. Even better than the last game.

Here's what's not so great though... the sandbox thing can get a bit overwhelming, but once you get used to it, it's really not that much different from Arkham Asylum, just bigger.
There's a TON of Riddler challenges... those are a bit crazy but, it's nice to see so much content packed into this game.
There's a TON of villains, to the point where it gets a bit crazy because they're still showcases people from the last game that didn't really need to come back again, but I will say the game handles the overabundance of villains well, without ever going overboard. But it gets close.
I was never a fan of the streroid-crazy enemies, but it fits with the art style and that's how it was in the last game. The only reason I mention it is because the "one-armed enemies"... seriously, what's their deal? It's stupid. SO stupid.
The graphics are great, but show their age, but they're great.

On too the good stuff. The story is GREAT. Love the catwoman/robin/other cameos in the game, really makes the universe seem complete. The dark, grittiness is awesome of course. And once again, EVERY major super hero deserves a game like this. Nothing even comes close. This is the best. No doubt.

I can't recommend this game enough. Definitely play the first one, definitely play this one, definitely play the next one and hope that other super heroes eventually get the same attention.
