The game does not save automatically do the cart - you have to write down a password for the save. Very frustrating for little kids.

I've played the game through and I have to say that, for the target audience, this is a pretty good game.

The story is a little week, there are only a few lines of text to set up the story before you're launched into the game, and even that much probably wouldn't make sense unless you've seen the movie. Still, the game play itself is solid.

In the game, you play as Barbie's character Genevieve, and must scramble through the castle in search of your nemesis, Rowena. You must use your collection of items -- stilts, ribbons, nets and such -- to work your way through the many traps and puzzles.

As another reviewer mentioned, there are no save points in this game. At the end of each level, you get a passcode to access the next level, which means it's much harder to put the game down mid-level. If you want to turn it off and come back to it, you either have to pass the level, or start back at the beginning of the level.

The game does have a juvenile feel, but that's appropriate considering the audience. The graphics are nothing spectacular, but cute and fitting. The game itself is pretty short -- that is, I passed it in a matter of hours -- but the actual time will vary depending on the player's skill (and curiosity!). To me the biggest drawback was the fact that Barbie doesn't learn how to dash until near the end of the game. Until then, you have to walk SLOWLY wherever you go.

Overall it's a good game for the target audience, though older players might get bored, or pass it too quickly.
