My daughter is 6 and just getting into video games and this was a good place for her to start.
The game held her interest well (it's Barbie) and is not discouraging as it is impossible to die. The controls are fairly simple as all you have to do is move and jump. Very good for teaching the basics of game play such as timing and coordination.
I gave this an 8 out of 10 instead of 10 out of 10 for the following reasons:
1) There is a door in part of the game at the beginning that does not go anywhere and just returns you to where you started. This was confusing for my daughter for a while.
2) The game uses a auto follow camera that adjusts its position based on where your facing etc. The problem is that is tracks slowly so if you turn around, you have to wait about 5 seconds before the camera is done re-orienting to your new direction. This also took some getting used to for my daughter.
Overall an excellent game. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.
