Not too bad, when actually playing.

This game was about Barbie's adventure as an island princess, that is, when you're actually playing it. The gameplay was surprisingly solid. The controls were responsive, there weren't many collision detection issues, and the graphics were good.
Play through sections of the island using the Barbie characters in a variety of mini-games that are actually fun to play. Most of these games are not very long, which is where the fun stops. This game is one of the longest loading games ever made!
In an effort to move the story and load the games on the disk, this game will spend infinite segments of time loading. Often, you will wait longer for load times than playing the game. Some of the loading takes so long you might think your system locked up. During a load screen, I actually had time to go to the kitchen and make a sandwich before it was done.
This game had potential to be a surprisingly good game. It's appropriate for younger kids who may actually enjoy it, provided they don't get bored between load screens.
