When Calvin (Ice Cube) inherits a struggling barbershop from his dad he wants nothing to do with it. An entrepreneur with big dreams, Calvin doesn't want to be weighed down by what he sees as a useless enterprise. After selling the business to a loan shark, Calvin feels regret creeping in. Realizing the shop's place in the community, he finds himself willing to do anything to get it back.
