Weak

Good if Madden is too hard for you or your child.

First of all the only reason I even considered playing this game because I knew it would be an easy 1000 gamerscore. It's better than last years backyard football but is still very boring. The only way I could recommend this game to someone is if you had a child who liked football and didn't understand Madden. Rookie Rush is a great entry level football game and keeps things really basic. The playbook is shallow but it has key plays such as play action, flea flicker, hailmary, slants, and so on. Defense is the same way. So it's a good way to get into the game if you have a young one who wants a football game. The other positive thing is there is plenty to do such as tournaments, a story, and a season mode.

So YES, I got this for the easy achievements. However, for me, it was a great vacation from the normal 50 page play books you find with the NCAAs and Maddens. Quick and simple ... your wife and kids can join in and button mash for a bit, too. In a sense, it is to Madden what Mario Kart is to Forza. It would have been nice to play around with it on xbox live (unless I just missed that option somewhere). Overall, though, it is what the cover suggests it is ...

For someone who hates all football games and doesnt care for football much..... This games tons of fun. I was able to use my minimal football knowledge and really enjoy this game. Its easy but when u dont know anything its bout average. Plus its fun to go for the achievements. and the drop in/ drop out feature is really good especially for girlfriends.
