Well, let me start by saying that when I was a kid my atari 2600 was the envy of my friends. I grew up playing (and still have tucked away in my closet somewhere) a lot of the classic atari games.
This game, if anything, is more of a trip down memory lane for those of us who remember what it was like to knock a big square pixel back and forth across a screen with two long vertical lines that moved up & down on either side of the screen. Yes, i am referring to pong. I was actually surprised to see a few games like Adventure, Haunted House, and Swordquest included in this anthology. I played those games all of the time. I would've liked to have seen an old superman game that i used to play included in this anthology. Oh well!
Anyway, I think that for all the "old school" gamers out there this is definitely a good rental for nostaliga purposes. Aside from that, there really isn't much about this anthology that makes it a keeper.
It does make you appreciate the amazing graphics of today's consoles! We sure have come a long way. With regards to the Atari Anthology... I think I'll stick with Halo 3.
