this is great for old school gamers. the main menu is really impressive yet basic. but finding games is still a little hard. but when you do find a good one (wich you will) they're REALLY fun. like human cannon ball or asteroids. this is a must have for old school / classic gamers and that is all there is to it.

P.S. if you liked this you should rent activision anthology

This collection of Atari games is...Average. There are a few gems like Adventure, Circus Atari, and Yars revenge, but there is also a lot of filler. It is easy to forget that the best games for the 2600 did not come from Atari themselves, but from Activision. Unfortunately for Atari, that means that you will likely be getting the Activision compilation instead.

If you are a hard core retro gamer, there are a few title on this disk that might make it a good companion to the Activision compilation, so it may be worth a rent to find out.

Once you know the titles that are included, you pretty much know what the in-game graphics/sound/game play are going to be. After all, you have played these titles before. Unfortunately in this case, Atari tried too hard to be cool, and flopped on their face. The UI is horrific. They decided to use a space theme for their UI, and it really gets in the way when you are trying to find a specific title. Hopefully if there is an Atari Anthology 2, they will take a que from Activision, and make a menu system that is a little more user friendly.
